Muse Winning the Best Album Artwork of 2009 for "The Resistance" is Questionable


Well, at least it seems questionable to me, as someone who knows art direction.

www.artvinyl.com gave the 2010 award to Muse.

I'm wondering if the award was given more out of biz buzz than true creative effect.

"Making of The Resistance" DVD Comes with the Limited Edition of Muse's Newest Album and is Well Worth the Watch


After watching one of these "Making of..." documentaries I usually come away feeling guilty for being critical of the outcome of any musical release. It's quite amazing watching all that goes into creating an album, and watching the creativity at work can be exciting.

Muse Get Serious, and, at Times, Excessively Dramatic with "The Resistance"


It was only a matter of time until Muse embraced some sort of Queen influence, which has been bubbling underneath the surface from the band's start. But in certain places on the new album, The Resistance, Muse doesn't embrace the Queen dynamic, they encompass it.

It should be no surprise for anyone who knows anything of Tuomas Saukkonen, finish multi-instrumentalist and composer for numerous Finnish metal bands, that with another year comes another release. As one of the most hard working entities in the genre today, his track record for putting out consistently high quality releases is second to few, and his most recent release with melodic dark metal band Before the Dawn, the Decade of Darkness EP is no exception.
