DOWNLOADABLE: "Hey Scenesters!" Proves The Cribs Were Good Even Before Johnny Marr


Yes, Johnny Marr's addition to The Cribs is a really good thing. But, they have some distinctive music before The Smiths guitar legend joined them.

Off of 2005's The New Fellas, the song "Hey Scenesters!" is a nice mix of The Fratellis and Bloc Party — just enough jumpy chaos and snarky joy to make them perfectly British.
