English TV Series, The Prisoner, Doesn't Live Up to Iron Maiden's Hype

Iron Maiden bassist, Steve Harris, and vocalist, Bruce Dickinson, were supposedly obsessed with the British 60s TV series The Prisoner. So much that they wrote two songs about it: The song "The Prisoner" off of Iron Maiden's 1982 Bruce Bruce debut The Number of the Beast and "Back in the Village" off of 1984's Powerslave.

Note: The lyrics in "Back in the Village" even use the maxim used in The Prisoner: "Questions are a burden and answers are prisons for oneselves."

"Making of The Resistance" DVD Comes with the Limited Edition of Muse's Newest Album and is Well Worth the Watch

After watching one of these "Making of..." documentaries I usually come away feeling guilty for being critical of the outcome of any musical release. It's quite amazing watching all that goes into creating an album, and watching the creativity at work can be exciting.

Not Thrilled While Watching the DVD, "I'm Not There"

I didn't have the patience to make it through Todd Haynes' I'm Not There. And I had the DVD from Netflix sitting around the house for two months or so.
